We want everyone to have a wonderful time tonight while raising funds for our children’s school. Please keep this in mind and read through the restrictions before committing to purchase items.
Rules and Regulations
●All items are sold “as is.” The PS 290 PTA warrants neither the quality nor the value of the items and services auctioned.
●Auction purchases are tax deductible, to the fullest extent allowed by law, on the amount paid that exceeds the fair market value at retail on the item(s) or service(s) received.
●Taxes, gratuities and liquor are not included in the value of a restaurant gift certificate unless otherwise stated.
●Blackout dates may apply as well as expiration dates. Please read prize letters carefully and call to properly confirm items.
●It is recommended that you use gift certificates as soon as possible. Most gift certificates have expiration dates.
Payment and Collection of Winnings
●Payment may be made by cash, personal check or credit card (AmEx, MasterCard, Visa or Discover).
●We strongly encourage guests to register a credit card prior to the night of the auction event. This will expedite your registration and check-out processes.
●Item pick-up will start the evening of March 25th at the auction event. Instructions will follow for those who are unable to pick up their winning items at check-out.
●A convenience fee of $20 will be charged for items NOT picked up by April 13th. Items will be delivered to you.
●Please note: All sales are FINAL and subject to the terms and conditions stipulated by the donor. There will not be any refunds, exchanges or returns. Remember, all money raised goes directly to our children.
●To bid, raise your bidder number on your paddle facing the auctioneer.
●The bid is registered when recognized and called by the auctioneer.
●All registered bids constitute a binding agreement to buy the specified item for the amount of the bid.
●The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer is declared the winning bidder.
Silent Auction/Mobile Bidding
●Do not remove the items from the table.
●To bid, enter your bidder number name, and the amount of your bid on the Greater Giving site for the auction.
●A bid constitutes a binding agreement to buy the specified item at the amount of the bid.
●All bids must start with the minimum amount indicated, and each bid increase must meet the minimum increment stated.
●Any bid listed without a bid number, or which does not exceed the previous bid by the minimum increment, will be considered invalid.
●The highest bid at closing constitutes the winning bid.
●The Auction Co-Chairs, in conjunction with the PS 290 PTA Co-Presidents, shall have the sole and final determination of the winning bid.
●Multi-Sale packages are parties, events and other items that are sold to multiple bidders. The Live items and mobile bidding entries for these packages will be clearly marked.
●To purchase a Multi-Sale item, simply enter your bidder number on the mobile bidding site.
●Purchasing continues until all slots are filled. Each mobile bidding entry will indicate the maximum number of winning sales possible.
●Entering your bidding number on the mobile bidding site constitutes a bidding agreement to buy the specified item at the amount stipulated in the item’s description. The sale is FINAL.
●Proceeds from the Online Auctions are a supplement to PS 290’s Annual Spring Benefit
●Check your email for information about our Online Auctions, which take place approximately two times per year: December, and the month in which the auction is held. Items featured are: tickets to shows, sporting events, fine NYC restaurant gift certificates, unique vacations, adventures, summer camps, lessons and much more.
